Today on "Kresta in the Afternoon" - July 3, 2012

Talking about the "things that matter most" on July 3

4:00 – Roberts Changes Vote on Affordable Care Act – Rare Leak from SCOTUS
Chief Justice John Roberts initially sided with the Supreme Court's four conservative justices to strike down the heart of President Obama's health care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, but later changed his position and formed an alliance with liberals to uphold the bulk of the law, according to two sources with specific knowledge of the deliberations. We talk with Supreme Court expert Artemus Ward about the Roberts switch and the highly irregular SCOTUS leak.

4:20 – Kresta Comments – SCOTUS and the Obamacare Ruling

5:00 – Are You a “Doubter?” The Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle
Poor Thomas! He made one remark and has been branded as “Doubting Thomas” ever since. But if he doubted, he also believed. He made what is certainly the most explicit statement of faith in the New Testament: “My Lord and My God!” (see John 20:24-28) and, in so expressing his faith, gave Christians a prayer that will be said till the end of time. We talk with Steve Ray about “Doubting Thomas.”

5:40 – Huge Victory Over Planned Parenthood in MI
A battle that pitted Citizens for a Pro-Life Society (CPLS) and Planned Parenthood of Mid and South Michigan (PPMSM) against each other over PPMSM’s plan to open an abortion facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan has come to an important resolution, favorable to the efforts of pro-lifers, who fought to keep the abortion center from opening. Monica Miller of CPLS tells the story and tells you how you can have the same victories in your area.
